This section of the kitchen wasn’t used very much so we decided to give it a bit more purpose and definition away from the main kitchen area. This beautiful log burner defines the two spaces but still creates an inviting and cosy feel.
We used a robust Osborne and Little upholstery fabric on the corner sofa with a slight pattern to hide any mucky finger prints or accidental spills! And then added a black rug to create a wow effect whilst still allowing the space to be family friendly and used by everyone. I matched the cushions on the sofa in a black velvet to soften the space and add a cosy feel to the room. 
The vertical pattern on the wallpaper accentuates the height of the room and has a lovely raised texture to the design, works well in the room as it ties all the colours together. 
This stunning bespoke made media unit is elegant, sleek and designed to fit the space, it also very practical and functional as it hides all the children toys and craft items!
To complete the room I chose a stunning voile by Jab, but as the windows are so large we had to hand sew a satin border round each edge using a Designer Guild fabric - trust me when I say this job was a labour of love! It took hours to get the border absolutely perfect on each edge, but ultimately it created this opulent sleek wave sheer curtain that fitted the window perfectly.
